Family Community Services

We often get asked for ideas of ways to help the families we serve.  Due to the confidential nature of our services, we find that although volunteer options are limited, there are many things that we like to have available to support families if you are willing and able to make a donation.
Feel free to give us a call if you have a group you are working with and want to offer something not listed here.  We are part of a very generous community and enjoy working with you to give back.

On-Going Needs
If you would like to donate items to help local families, the following is a list of things that we try to keep available all year:
Large backpacks suitable for middle and high school
School supplies needed:  1 1/2" and 2" binders, dividers, color pencils, composition books. (We currently have a good supply of most other items.)
Personal care items such as shampoo and conditioner, soap/wash, adult toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant
Baby items such as wipes and small quantities of diapers
Household products for cleaning and/or laundry
Clean, gently used clothing for clothing bank (infant through young adult primarily)
Dishes, pots/pans and utensils, blankets, towels
Sweatpants, leggings or skinny jeans (neutral colors in all sizes) for kids that have an emergency, tear their clothing, or aren't dressed warm enough for the conditions.
Very gently used soccer, baseball, or football cleats
We cannot directly accept larger items such as furniture or appliances but may be able to connect you with a family in need.  Please call our office  at 360-354-1549 to let us know what you have available and we'll do our best to find a home for it.
Although your support is greatly appreciated, we are unable to offer a receipt of donations to be used for tax purposes.
