The Lynden School District and Whatcom County Library System have formed a partnership called “ConnectED” to provide K-12 students access to the best educational resources and learning materials in our libraries and on the internet.
There is one WCLS book blue drop box located outside of the Lynden High School.
Through the partnership, Lynden School District student IDs will be used as WCLS library card numbers, allowing students to:
Borrow 2 physical items at a time, such as books, CDs or DVDs, from any WCLS location
Borrow 5 digital items at a time, such as eBooks or audio eBooks
Incur no overdue fines for items classified for children and teens
Use computers with filtered internet access at any of the library locations
Access other educational resources, such as online encyclopedias, using the Internet from school or home
Reserve public library books using school ID account, and have public library books delivered to school library for student pick-up
New students choose to Opt-In or to Opt-Out of Connected at time of Online Enrollment.
To Opt-Out of ConnectEd, complete the following Opt-Out Form:

Deliver completed Opt-Out Form your child's school office. The secretary will inter-district mail form to the attention of Dusty Gulleson, Lynden Public School, Technology Coordinator, for processing.
