ADDITIONAL INFORMATION for MEAL DISTRIBUTION
THANK YOU CLOUD MOUNTAIN FARM CENTER!

Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Boxes

Cloud Mountain Farm Center, Puget Sound Food Hub and Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) are coordinating efforts to provide fresh fruit and vegetable boxes to the Lynden School District.  1000 boxes will be delivered and distributed to families within the Lynden School District throughout the next two weeks.  All of the fruit and vegetables are locally grown.  These boxes not only support the children and families within the Lynden School District, but also provide a source of income for local farmers.

Boxes may contain apples, potatoes, carrots, winter squash, and other kinds of produce.  There is no cost to the Lynden School District.  WSDA is providing short-term purchasing funds for the locally grown produce boxes as a part of the agency’s overall COVID-19 emergency food security response, extending school food distribution efforts with local farms.
