Congratulations Slavic Shportko!
One of our great custodians, Slavic Shportko, was nominated by several students on the Goodsnitch website. This website's goal is to recognize hard working employees that make a difference. Two of our students nominated Slavic and said the following about him.
"Slavic is such a kind soul. He is such a good janitor; he is always there to get the job done. Everyone loves him and he always says "hi" to you and encourages everyone in the school."
"You do so much for our school and I'm so grateful for all of your hard work! Thank you for putting so much time into helping both the staff and students with a smile! I'm amazed at how much you do and I'm so glad you are at our school! Thanks!"

We are looking for parent/guardian volunteers to join our Learning Leadership Committee. We meet once a month from 7:00 a.m. to 7:50 a.m. This group discusses school rules, solves problems, brainstorms ideas for improvement and helps us keep on top of possible concerns. Please consider joining us!
In addition, let us know if you have certain skills or talents that could help us to improve our school. If you want to become involved at LHS, please contact Assistant Principal, Lisa Mckeen, and she'll be able to answer your questions and concerns.
