Welcome back! We have had a great start to the beginning of the 08’-09’ school year. With the first week jitters and nerves past us, I look forward to working in the classrooms and getting to know your student, along with helping them to be successful here at LMS. As your child progresses through school, some helpful reminders for parents are as follows:

~ Stay involved – when students know that their parents care, student achievement soars. Test scores are typically higher and participation increases when parents are involved with their child’s education.

~ Stay in touch – the staff welcome your involvement and encourage communication regarding your son or daughter. Call or email with any concerns you may have.

~ Encourage good habits – establish study skills by helping your student decide where and when to study. Do what works best for your child. Some keys to success are attending school every day, getting at least 8 hours of sleep, eating a healthy breakfast, writing in their planner, completing homework, and being prepared for class.
