Mr. Hayward's Page

Responsibilities:
Mr. Hayward teaches 8th grade language arts and Spanish. He also produces the yearbook.

Education:
Tennessee Temple University, B.A. with a major in American and British Literature
Central Washington University, B.Ed. with a double major in Education and English
Seattle Pacific University, M.Ed. with a double major in English and Administration
Columbia Basin Community College, a minor in Spanish

Family:
Mr. Hayward is married and has three daughters. His oldest daughter is a graduate of Western Washington University and is living on her own. His middle daughter is finishing up a degree in art design at Western Washington University. His youngest daughter is working on an elementary education degree at Western Washington University.

Other Interests:
Mr. Hayward is a pilot and is building an airplane in his spare time. He is also an avid reader and has piles of books and magazines scattered around the house that he reads instead of watching television.

Thought of the Day:
Teaching middle school is a lot like dancing with a gorilla; you’re not finished with the dance until the gorilla is through dancing!
