Veritas Update

To all district staff,

For approximately the last six months Steve Hortegas, acting as AK liaison, has been the primary source of communication between AK, the district staff, and the Board. Now that AK has made their final report, Steve's role as liaison has been completed. Future communications will be Board driven through Board President Larry Korthuis. Communications from the Board are tentatively set for shortly following our regularly scheduled board meetings. The purpose of this communication is to keep the district staff informed as the Board continues to work on AK related issues. AK has given the school district an enormous amount of information to consider. Because of the complexities and desire for long term solutions, decisions will not be made as fast as we would all like. We plan to meet as a Board in executive session, with legal counsel, on Monday April 28th to begin the decision making process. No action will be taken at this meeting.
