Announcements

  • Highly Capable Program
The Lynden School District is now accepting referrals for K-11 students to be assessed for eligibility to receive highly capable services during the 2014-2015 school year.  Students eligible for services in the Hi Cap Program perform or show potential for performing at significantly advanced academic levels when compared to others of their age, experiences or environments.  Click here to see a list of characteristics of highly capable students.
Teachers, parents and community members may refer any student in grades K-11 for assessment.  Secondary students may self-refer. Parents/guardians will be contacted for permission to assess when a student is referred by someone other than the parent or guardian.
Please complete the appropriate referral form (Parent/Self Referral or Teacher Referral) and submit the completed, signed form to:  Attn: Highly Capable Program - Lynden School District - 1203 Bradley Rd., Lynden, WA  98264.
Referral forms must be received by 4:00PM, Friday April 25th, 2014 for assessment for eligibility in the 2014-2015 school year.
For more information about Highly Capable Program services and the assessment for eligibility process, please call (360) 354-4443 or email olsonki@lynden.wednet.edu.

  • Homework Help
Homework Help provides free tutoring and a quiet place for all middle school students to work.  Homework Help is available every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (except early release days) until 3:15 in the school library.  Attendance is on a drop-in basis only and students will be expected to stay until 3:15, unless parents request otherwise.  Since there is no bus transportation, parents will need to provide transportation.

If you would like more information contact Mrs. Mielke  mielkei@lynden.wednet.edu or Mrs. Cooper cooperl@lynden.wednet.edu.
