Greetings! I have been teaching biology and other subjects at Lynden high since 1982. Having graduated from WSU in 1979, I strive to stay current in my field by working both as a bench scientist and consultant during the summer. I earned a Master of Science Ed. from WWU in 1991 and a Master of Biology from WSU in 2001.
My favorite activity is tropical SCUBA diving! I enjoy birding and reading medical mystery/thrillers. Summers I work in Seattle at Institute for Systems Biology where I collaborate with leading scientists on topics like ocean acidification, gene expression and ecological networks.
My students are given a paper during the 1st week of class to take home to parents. Please take a look at it. I will set up a group email from records on file in the office. If you have a new address please contact me so you can be included in updates.
{I enjoy birding too!}
